PMR Staff Members

Public and Media Relations (PMR) is the University of Oregon's primary office for news, as well as internal and marketing communications. PMR is part of Public and Government Affairs and under the umbrella of University Advancement.

PMR staff have had extensive experience in both broadcast and written journalism, either as members of the media or through extensive public relations with media outlets.

In addition to overseeing office operations, Phil is the primary point of contact for the University of Oregon Administration (president's office, vice presidential units), Institutional Equity and Diversity, Government Affairs, Legal and Campus Communicators. He is the chief public information officer for the University.

Shannon Rose

Shannon handles many of PMR’s daily administrative functions. She manages the University of Oregon’s online events calendar, maintains media distribution lists, and responds to phone calls from the media and public. She is at the center of all PMR activity and is knowledgeable about all aspects of campus.
